Heirloomberg Hospital
Dear Diary,
Today was a day filled with unexpected encounters and mysteries that left me both intrigued and bewildered. It all began with a chance sighting of an ancient building amidst the bustling chaos of the Magimorphus Mark. Despite the ever-changing landscape of the market, this building stood still, its ageless façade radiating an aura of tranquility and vitality. Intrigued by its enigmatic presence, I followed Professor Xorki as he made his way towards the structure.
As we approached the building, I couldn’t help but marvel at its grandeur. Unlike the other structures in the market, which seemed to shift and change with each passing moment, this building remained steadfast and unmoving, its youthful appearance a stark contrast to the surrounding chaos. I found myself drawn to its serene beauty, captivated by the sense of peace that seemed to emanate from within.
The sign above the entrance bore the name “Heirloomberg Hospital,” and as we entered, we were greeted by the sight of a fairy receptionist named Mona Pixirome. I was awestruck by her ethereal beauty, her delicate wings shimmering in the soft light of the hospital foyer. It was as if I had stepped into a fairy tale, encountering mythical creatures that I had only ever read about in storybooks.
Professor Xorki wasted no time in stating our purpose for being there, informing Mona that we wished to meet someone named Gwendolyn Ione. However, to our surprise, the fairy receptionist refused to grant us access, insisting that we leave at once. Despite the professor’s attempts to persuade her otherwise, Mona remained steadfast in her refusal, her expression betraying a hint of fear beneath her composed façade.
It was then that Professor Xorki leaned in close and whispered something to Mona, causing her demeanor to shift suddenly from defiance to fear. Whatever words he spoke seemed to strike a chord with her, prompting her to relent and reluctantly guide us through the hospital with the assistance of an ethereal butterfly. Though I strained to hear what was said, their conversation remained shrouded in mystery, leaving me to wonder about the secrets that lay hidden within the walls of Heirloomberg Hospital.
As we walked down the flowery hallways of the hospital, chasing after a delicate butterfly, I turned to the professor and asked why we were there. Didn’t we go out to greet the queen? The professor explained that someone close to him was in the hospital. After a short while, we arrived at a door. The professor told me to wait outside and entered the room.
Inside, I could hear a woman’s voice. It sounded like she was screaming when she saw the professor. He called her “Dolyn” and pleaded with her to stop, saying, “Dolyn, please stop this nonsense.” He warned her that if she didn’t stop, the fragile creatures wouldn’t be able to protect her.
Suddenly, her voice calmed, and she asked the professor who had come. Maybe she had seen me through the crack in the door. Professor Xorki told her it was a student from school. He warned her that if she didn’t embrace it, her end would be near, and they wouldn’t let her live. She responded, “The end is another beginning.”
When Professor Xorki emerged from the room, he asked me to accompany him, and I followed him back through the labyrinthine corridors of the hospital. As we made our way out, he made a request of me, asking that I keep our visit to Heirloomberg Hospital a secret. Though I was curious to know more, I agreed without hesitation, trusting in the professor’s judgment and respecting his wishes.
As we stepped back out into the bustling chaos of the Magimorphus Mark, I couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that lingered within me. There were still so many unanswered questions, so many mysteries waiting to be unraveled. But for now, I would honor the professor’s request and keep our encounter with Dolyn and Heirloomberg Hospital close to my heart, a secret shared between us alone.
Yours in wonder,
Zoe
