Let LOVE be Your Guide…
Dear Diary,
I finally made my way back to my room, but my mind was still racing. Images from tonight kept replaying over and over again. First, there was Mara’s strange behavior. Then, there was the giant bird with its enormous wings, and the eerie owl near the Umbralith Crypt. Nothing made sense, and my head was spinning with questions.
I paced around my room, trying to make sense of everything. Is really so many strange things started happening since I arrived here? Why did Mara think I am the cause? And what was the connection between that giant bird and the mysterious figure my parents had pleaded with so long ago?
As I paced, my eyes fell on the letter Master Wigweard had given me. It was from my grandmaa, and I had been holding onto it for days now, too scared to open it. But tonight, with my mind so full of questions, I felt like it was time.
I sat down on my bed, holding the letter in my hands. So many questions ran through my mind. Why had Grandmaa given Master Wigweard this letter? When had she written it? And most importantly, what did it say? My heart pounded as I carefully opened the envelope.
The letter was old, the paper slightly yellowed with age, but Grandmaa’s handwriting was neat and clear. I took a deep breath and began to read.
Dear Bella,
If you’re holding this letter, it means I’ve left this world. As I write these words, memories of the day you were born flood my mind, the day I held you for the first time, and whispered to you, “You are mine, my precious one.” From that moment, I knew you were meant for something extraordinary.
My dear, I’ve always longed to tell you the truth about our family, about the world you were born into. Yes, Bella, we are witches, beings of magic and mystery. I chose to keep this from you, to shield you from the dangers that come with our legacy. I hid the invitations, I hid our true nature, because I couldn’t bear the thought of losing you and your father, my dear son. I feared the darkness that lurks in our world, and I hoped to spare you from it.
But Master was right, my child. We cannot run from our destiny. You, Bella, are destined for greatness. You are a princess, a queen of wizarding destiny. You hold within you the power to shape the future of our world. But remember, my darling, power can be a treacherous thing. Do not let greed consume you, for it will devour your soul. Instead, let love be your guiding light.
Love, Bella, is the strongest magic of all. It is unwavering, unchanging, a force that grows with each passing day. Look at Adam’s love for you, my child. He sees you for who you are, without judgment or fear. Let his love be your anchor in the storm.
My sweet daughter, let love be your weapon, your shield. Stand tall in the face of adversity, and fight for what is right. Educate those who stray from the path of righteousness, and if they plot against you, stand firm like a soldier on the battlefield, ready to defend your honor.
Follow Master’s teachings, my dear. Learn from him, for I have entrusted your guardianship to him. And please, deliver a message to him from me. Tell him that I trust him with your future, with our legacy.
These are my final words to you, Bella. In time, all will become clear, and you will understand why these trials have befallen you. For now, hold fast to my words, and let love be your guide.
With all my love, Maa
After reading Grandmaa’s letter, I just couldn’t stop crying. Her words felt like a warm embrace, comforting me in the midst of my confusion and fear. Each word seemed to reach deep into my soul, reminding me of who I truly was and where I belonged.
Adam’s love for me echoed in my mind, a beacon of light in the darkness of uncertainty. Despite knowing that I am a witch, he had never faltered in his love for me. He belonged to me, just as I belonged to him. The realization filled me with a sense of warmth and security, like a blanket on a cold winter’s night.
I felt like I was finally emerging from the chaos that had consumed me. Grandmaa’s words had given me clarity, a sense of purpose that I had been lacking. I knew now where I stood and what I had to do.
With trembling hands, I carefully embedded the letter in your pages, dear diary. It felt like a sacred ritual, a way to ensure that Grandmaa’s words would always be close to my heart. Each time I flipped through your pages, I would be reminded of who I was and where I came from.
Oh, my dear silent friend, thank you for being my partner in this journey. You have been my confidant, my refuge in times of need. Your pages have witnessed my tears and my laughter, my joys and my sorrows. I am grateful for your presence in my life, for your unwavering support.
Tonight had been filled with revelations and emotions, but I knew that I was no longer alone. With Grandmaa’s letter as my guide and you as my companion, I would face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Yours always,
Zoe
