Tales of Royal Residences
Dear Diary,
This evening took an unexpected turn when I ran into Mara Marlowe on my way to the Lores Main Library. She seemed to be in a hurry, and her worried expression left me feeling unsettled. However, before I could ask her what was wrong, she rushed past me without saying a word. I hoped everything was alright with her.
Pushing aside my concerns for Mara, I continued on to the library. Once inside, I found Remy and Nexy, as usual, embroiled in one of their petty squabbles over a book. They always seemed to be at each other’s throats over something or the other. When they spotted me, they scurried over and perched themselves on my shoulders, greeting me with their usual exuberance.
“What brings you here, Zoe?” Remy asked, his tone curious.
“I’m on a secret mission,” I replied cryptically, trying to sound important.
But of course, they wouldn’t let it go that easily. Nexy piped up, “A secret mission? That sounds exciting! Can we join you?”
I hesitated for a moment, considering their request. “Secrets should be kept secret, you know,” I said with a mischievous grin. “Only if you promise to protect it with your lives.”
Both of them nodded eagerly, their eyes shining with anticipation. “We promise, Zoe! We’ll be your secret-keepers,” Remy declared proudly.
With a smirk, I leaned in closer and whispered, “I’m looking for information about someone named Sir Reynard. Do you know anything about him?”
Remy furrowed his brow in concentration. “Hmm, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone by that name,” he admitted.
Nexy, on the other hand, seemed to have a spark of recognition. “Wait, Sir Reynard… I think I’ve heard that name before,” she mused. “But I can’t remember where.”
Excited by her revelation, I gave them their task. “Alright, soldiers, your mission is to find out everything you can about Sir Reynard. And here’s a clue to help you on your quest: Sir Reynard had a bloody ring.”
Their eyes lit up with determination, and they eagerly accepted their mission. “Consider it done, Zoe! We’ll find out everything there is to know about Sir Reynard,” Remy proclaimed confidently.
With Remy and Nexy on the case, I felt a sense of relief. Maybe they would uncover something that would shed light on the mysteries swirling around me.
After assigning Remy and Nexy their mission, I found myself holding a book titled “Tales of Royal Residences”. It had fallen from one of the upper shelves, sparking yet another round of bickering between my two friends. I couldn’t help but shake my head at their antics as they squabbled over who saw it first.
I intervened before things could escalate further and asked them what was so special about this particular book. Nexy explained that her mother had told her about the ancient tales of kings and queens, and she was fascinated by them. Remy, of course, tried to copy her, claiming he was interested too.
Curious about the book’s origins, I inquired when it had arrived in the library. Remy piped up, saying it had been there earlier, but Professor Emberforge had taken it along with other items for inspection. Then, last night, Professor Emberforge and Mr. Servius had returned to the library and placed some books back on the shelf. Remy had found this one first, so he believed it was rightfully his.
I sighed, realizing that I would have to referee their argument once again. “As I gave you both a task, complete that first, and then you can read the book,” I said firmly.
They reluctantly agreed, and with that settled, I took a seat at a dimly lit corner table with “Tales of Royal Residences” in hand. Remy and Nexy scurried off in search of information about Sir Reynard.
The book in my hands was a treasure trove of stories about kings and queens, castles and palaces. As I flipped through its pages, I felt transported to another world — one filled with grandeur, intrigue, and adventure.
I stayed up reading “Tales of Royal Residences” until midnight. The book was old and worn, with torn pages that hinted at its age and the many hands that had held it before me.
The stories within were both fascinating and chilling. I didn’t find much about Princess Luna, the princess of Luna Mount Palace, but what I did find was intriguing. Princess Luna was born with her twin sister, Seraphina. According to the book, a prophecy foretold that one of the king’s children would be the cause of his death. Despite the concern of the king’s men, King refused to harm his daughters. However, Queen ordered the sacrifice of the firstborn to protect the second.
Princess Seraphina, known as the Dark Deity, was taken by the midwife Monica Morvain to be sacrificed, but there were no details about what actually happened to her. Did she truly perish, or was there more to her fate?
King Alexander Black was described as a powerful man who became king at the age of fourteen after the mysterious death of his father. According to the book, he was present during the birth of Princess Luna and Seraphina, and he became one of the king’s main commanders. Princess Luna grew up with him, and they were married when she was just fifteen.
The book didn’t explain why Princess Luna would kill her own father, but it did mention that she died on the same night. Curiously, she was found to be pregnant at the time of her death, but there was no sign of a baby or any symptoms of childbirth. The baby had mysteriously vanished, along with King Alexander himself.
Some pages of the book were difficult to read, and I couldn’t understand everything written on them. It left me feeling frustrated, realizing that these books might not hold all the answers. They could be as manipulated and incomplete as before, and I began to question the reliability of the information they contained.
Now, I’m eager to see what information my little soldiers, Remy and Nexy, have gathered for me. Perhaps they’ve uncovered something that will shed light on the mysteries of Sir Reynard and the events surrounding Luna Mount Palace.
Tomorrow promises to be another day filled with discovery and intrigue.
Yours truly,
Zoe
